Gmail’s latest Labs creation is one of the best yet: panes that let you create separate inboxes using filters and labels. Anal-retentive over-organizers of the world, rejoice! Want to have a pane just for emails from your family? Or from a particular mailing list? Google Delivers Offline GMAIL

Google will begin to offer browser-based offline access to its Gmail Webmail application, a much-awaited feature. This functionality, which will allow people to use the Gmail interface when disconnected from the Internet, has been expected since mid-2007. Gmail Adds SMS Sending Option to Chat

Gmail will add a SMS sending feature as an experimental function through Google Labs. The SMS option in Google chat can be enabled through the Google Labs function in Gmail. Currently, this feature is not available in India, not even across the Globe. This SMS option allows sending text messages to your contact if you have their cell phone number stored in your contact list.
